Artist Matryoshka – Children at Play by Belyakova – 5 Nested Set
This charming five-piece matryoshka set by Russian artist Belyakova depicts a series of children at play - a girl in purple cradling a teddy bear, a boy in blue with a wooden hobby horse, a younger girl in a white blouse, and two smaller figures each with their own playful detail. The soft purple and blue palette gives the set a gentle, nostalgic quality, and the expressive faces carry the warmth and individual character that distinguishes Belyakova's work.
A delightful collector's piece evoking the simple pleasures of childhood through the lens of Russian folk art.
This matryoshka is a five nested set and is signed by the artist.
