A striking five-piece nesting doll set signed by artist Morozova - each doll in rich cobalt blue with elaborate white scrollwork and gilded gold floral and leaf motifs throughout. The faces are sweetly painted with blue eyes, rosy cheeks and blonde hair, and the palette of cobalt, white and gold gives the set a bold, jewel-like quality reminiscent of traditional Gzhel porcelain.
A signed set of exceptional detail - the deep cobalt ground is rich and distinctive, and the gold and white scrollwork across all five pieces shows a consistent and confident hand.
This is a five nested piece set. Signed by the artist Morozova.
Handmade in Russia.
