A neat, botanically-inspired brooch, two leaf-shaped amber cabochons set at angles to one another atop a slender twisted silver stem, echoing a budding sprig or young leaf pair unfurling from a single stalk. Each leaf-form cabochon is edged in a fine silver bezel that follows its organic, asymmetric outline rather than a uniform shape.

The amber shows a rich, warm cognac-gold tone throughout, mottled with fine dark inclusions and cloudy internal texture that give each leaf its own individual character — no two patches of colour quite the same, in keeping with the natural, handmade feel of the piece.

Baltic amber is one of the world's most prized organic gemstones, formed from ancient tree resin approximately 44 million years ago along the shores of the Baltic Sea, and its use here in a simple, botanical leaf motif gives the piece an understated, wearable elegance.

Finished with a coiled silver pin fitting to the reverse, this brooch sits neatly on a lapel, collar, or scarf.

Dimensions: 45 x 15 x 10mm. Weight: 5.7g.

A neat and characterful piece of natural history
