Sterling Silver Amber Owl Brooch
A charming figural brooch in the form of a perched owl, its silver body finely detailed with textured feather work along the wings and tail, standing on a carved silver branch. Two small round amber cabochons form the owl's wide, watchful eyes, each a slightly different warm tone that adds a touch of individuality to its expression.
The body of the owl is dominated by a large oval amber cabochon, glowing a bright honey-orange and dense with natural inclusions — scattered dark fragments, organic debris and fine detail spread across the stone, giving the impression of feathered texture within the amber itself. The dark silver surround, carved to follow the owl's rounded silhouette, frames the stone like plumage.
Baltic amber is one of the world's most prized organic gemstones, formed from ancient tree resin approximately 44 million years ago along the shores of the Baltic Sea, and here it's put to charming, figural use in a design full of personality.
